The text about the University is a fragment of the preamble which can be found on the INTERNET page of Frankfurt University
In December 1972 a jumbo jet crashed in the Florida Everglades with the loss 101 lives. The pilot, distracted by a minor malfunction, failed to note until too late the warning signal that - correctly -indicated an impending disaster. His sudden, astonished cry of "Hey, what's happening here?" were his last words. Three decades after this tragic episode the problem of adequate reaction to warning signals of different nature and distinguishing minor malfunctions in everyday life of society, in economy and technology as well as in the evolution of biosphere from grave threats to the world community and the phenomenon of life on our planet remains crucial to human survival and the Future of Civilization. Rational use of knowledge and technology available to the world community remains the corner stone of discussions on destiny of the intelligent life. Survival of man on the Earth must be the basic practical idea of our "INTERNET" society. We can not stop the information motion of matter and we must not hurry in this alien to us the virtual medium. Such transition will be impossible without losings for "Homo Sapiens". Although creation of new complex biological structures in the process of evolution did not bring to disappearance of their predecessors. It is difficult to believe that the strongest of all instincts - the instinct of self-preservation has stopped to act. Probably righteous life is not the fulfilment of moral or religious norms - it is the condition of survival. It is necessary to look honestly at the no simple situation which we have.
